McDonalds app in the Nordics is very popular and a big driver in sales throughout the year. Too keep engagement and sales up, McDonalds opens up a fun and engaging game on the app each summer called the “The Summer chance. Here you can pop yellow McD balloons to win prizes, free burgers and meals.
The game is backed by an online campaign that changes creative concept each year. In 2019 we made a very literal and fun concept that was all about getting your fingers in shape to tap as many balloons as possible.
During the campaign more than 9.235.502 balloons where popped, 906.466 Cheeseburgers, 4.453.255 Chili Cheese Tops, and 51.743 McFlurrys where handed out. Talk about working out!
